Required Study Book - “Astrology for Yourself” by Bloch and George
(can be purchased onllline or from used book stores)


Weekend #1:

Homework Assignments #1:

Read the first three chapters (through page 74 only) in "Astrology for Yourself" and do all the exercises at least once.
(copies of many of the exercises can be found in the practice section of your workbooks and much of the the information from the appendices can also be found there).
Read sections 1 through 5 in your workbooks.
Complete Quiz #1 on line. The quiz will be reviewed in the second weekend.

Invent a way to teach yourself and others how to memorize the mode for each sign. (*see below for ideas)

Pick three signs that you judge, feel the least good about, or that you understand the least. Invent products with those signs in mind and a short marketing blurb, slogan, or campaign for each of those signs (*see below for ideas). You will share this in class at weekend #2
You will be assigned a planet. Design a brief (up to 10-12 minutes) experiential exercise for the group to do to better experience that planet. You will present these at weekend 2. (*see below for ideas)

Weekend #2:

Homework Assignments #2:

*If you have not already done so, complete the first three chapters, through page 74, in Astrology for Yourself and do all the exercises at least once.
*If you have not already done so, read sections 1 through 5 in your workbooks.
Read sections 6 & 7 in your workbooks.
Create teaching tools for the planets: keywords, flashcards, songs, dance, cheer, recipe, anything that supports you in remembering them and help you to teach others. You will share this in class at weekend #3.
Bring simple costumes for your planet to the next class; bring items that you are willing to share and leave at the office. A hat, a scarf, glasses, an object, something that best represents your planet (that you were assigned last time). We will be using these as we learn how aspects between the planets effect our charts.
There will be a fun quiz at our next class that is intended as a review and learning tool. You will be taking it in pairs, and it will cover what we have learned so far.


Weekend #3:

Homework Assignments #3:

Read sections 8, 9, and 11 in your workbooks
Optional: Appendix D: any or all of the articles
Read Chapters 5 & 6 in "Astrology for Yourself".
Optional: Chapters 7 & 8
Complete Quiz #3 and bring your answers to our next class
Interpret the aspect from the chart that you have been assigned in class. You will be presenting them in our next class.

Weekend #4:

Homework Assignments #4:

Complete any of the reading from past assignments that you have not completed yet.
"Astrology for Yourself" - complete anything that you have not read yet, and complete any of the exercises you have not done.
Workbook - read anything in the workbook that you have not read yet.

"The Gods of Change" by Howard Sasportas
"Making the Gods Work for You" by Caroline Casey
*see extended suggested reading list in your workbook

Complete the Final Certification Requirement:
Do a minimum of a 20 minute reading with someone.

You can either present it at our completion class when offered or submit a written write up (*can just be your outline or your notes) and a video or an audio tape to Jennifer & Barbara demonstrating your abilities and readiness as an astrologer.
